Delivery terms
The vehicle must be in perfect technical condition in all respects when it comes to programming. The air cleaner must be renewed or it must be clean. If a loss of power has been observed in the car compared to the original, the defects causing the loss of power must be investigated and repaired before programming. In addition, the customer must report all technical changes that have been made to the vehicle previously compared to the corresponding series-produced version before programming. This ensures successful optimization of the vehicle. All our programming services are intended only for racing use, not for vehicles used on the road. We are not responsible for improper use of the vehicle or for the costs/sanctions resulting from this. The customer is responsible for the correct use of the vehicle. When using the vehicle for activities other than racing, the customer must find out from the inspection authority whether a modification inspection is necessary. The customer is responsible for the notifications required for the vehicle modification and any modification inspection. The prices of our services do not include vehicle modification inspection, emission measurement, emission measurement certificates or other documents required for this. We do not offer vehicle modification inspection services for vehicles with low clearance. Nor do we provide additional information about vehicle modification inspection. More detailed information about your vehicle modification inspection and requirements can be obtained from, for example, inspection offices and Traficom. The owner/holder of the vehicle must check with the dealer or importer for the specific terms and conditions regarding vehicle-specific maintenance and warranty. The vehicle-specific power and torque values before and after programming are general model-specific values. They are only indicative and the final result may differ from vehicle to vehicle depending on the age, mileage, technical condition and differences between the vehicle and the model year, as well as, for example, the gearbox type.
Warranty
Chip-tuning.fi provides a full guarantee for functionality and a THREE (3) year guarantee for the programs we install. For other products we install, the guarantee is determined product-specific. We do not provide a guarantee for tuning and racing parts. The guarantee does not cover defects caused by improper use. The guarantee does not apply to defects in the vehicle's electrical system or other third-party causes, damage to the memory circuit or control unit or malfunction. The guarantee does not apply to motorsports use or similar heavy use in extreme conditions. The guarantee does not apply to the vehicle's mechanical parts. A program update performed during vehicle maintenance may erase our programming or cause it to malfunction. The customer is obliged to inquire about the matter before the procedure. The guarantee does not apply to malfunctions caused by a maintenance update or programming erased during maintenance. If the customer wants a new optimization program to replace the erased program, this is a reprogramming, i.e. a new separate order. Opening the control unit or making other changes after programming via the service port will immediately void the warranty. The warranty is limited to the engine control unit in accordance with the above conditions. The warranty liability applies to the engine control unit and the costs incurred in its replacement and update. Indirect costs are not covered by the warranty. The defective control unit must be repaired or replaced within a reasonable time. When using an external service/repair point, Chip-tuning.fi must act as the customer for the work.
Satisfaction guarantee
Chip-tuning.fi grants a satisfaction guarantee for all programming performed: If the customer reports dissatisfaction with the programming within 14 days of the programming and reprogramming does not achieve a satisfactory result for the customer, the program version that was originally in the vehicle before the optimization performed by Chip-tuning.fi will be returned to the vehicle. In such a return situation, the customer will be refunded the full price that he or she has paid for the programming. The refund does not include any possible mileage compensation and daily allowances that may apply to the case. In addition, breaking the seal that we have installed on the vehicle's diagnostic plug and/or control unit within the 14-day notice period will cause the satisfaction guarantee to lapse immediately.
Payment terms
- Private: cash upon receipt of work, bank transfer on site, debit card and credit card. When paying by card, we charge a 1.5% payment card surcharge of the total amount.
- Genuinely interest-free payment period of 12 months up to €6,000. Svea Ekonomi offers our customers a genuine interest-free payment period for even the largest purchases. Charge €5.00 + service fee 6.0% of the total amount. Monthly costs €0 Read more
- Companies: same as private customers, 7 days net + invoicing surcharge of 20€
- Late payment interest: 10%
- Delivery time: schedule an appointment for programming in advance either by phone or email
- For appointments that are not cancelled, we charge 40% of the agreed purchase price. Cancellations must be made no later than 3 days before the agreed date. Cancellations must always be made by phone.
- Free storage of completed work is 5 days, after which we charge for storing the car. Unless otherwise agreed. We will inform the customer 24 hours in advance of the start of the paid period. We charge €12.40/day for storing the vehicle.
