Delivery conditions and warranty
Terms of delivery
When entering programming, the vehicle must be in perfect technical condition in all its parts. The air cleaner must be renewed or it must be clean. If a loss of power has been detected in the car compared to the original, the faults causing the loss of power must be identified and repaired before entering the programming. In addition, before programming, the customer must notify all technical changes that have been made to the vehicle in the past compared to the corresponding mass-produced version. This ensures successful optimization for the vehicle. All our programming services are only intended for racing vehicles, not road traffic vehicles. We are not responsible for improper use of the vehicle or the resulting costs/sanctions. The customer of the work is responsible for the correct use of the vehicle. When using the vehicle for other than competitive activities, the customer of the work must find out the need for a modification inspection from the inspection authority. The customer of the optimization work is responsible for the notifications required by the vehicle change and possible inspection of the change. The prices of our services do not include vehicle modification inspection, emission measurement, emission measurement certificates or other documents required for this. We do not offer a vehicle modification inspection service for low-end vehicles. And we do not provide additional information about the vehicle modification inspection. More detailed information about the modification inspection of your vehicle and the requirements can be obtained from, for example, inspection offices and Traficom. The owner/holder of the vehicle must find out from the dealer or the importer the special conditions regarding vehicle-specific maintenance and warranty. The vehicle-specific power and torque values before and after programming are general model-specific values. They are only indicative and the final result may differ depending on the vehicle's age, mileage, technical condition and model-year differences, as well as e.g. due to the type of gearbox.
Warranty
Chip-tuning.fi gives a full guarantee for functionality and a THREE (3) year guarantee for the programs we install. For other products we install, the warranty is determined on a product-by-product basis. We do not grant a warranty for tuning and racing parts. The warranty does not cover defects caused by improper use. The warranty does not apply to a fault in the vehicle's electrical system or other damage or malfunction of the memory circuit or control device caused by a third party. The warranty does not cover motorsport use or similar heavy use in extreme conditions. The warranty does not apply to the mechanical parts of the vehicle. A software update carried out in connection with vehicle maintenance can erase our programming or cause it to malfunction. The customer is obliged to inquire about the matter before the procedure. The warranty does not apply to a malfunction caused by a maintenance update or to programming erased during maintenance. If the customer wants a new optimization program to replace the deleted program, it is reprogramming, i.e. a new separate order. Opening the controller or making other changes after programming through the service port will cause the warranty to expire immediately. The warranty is limited to the engine control device in accordance with the conditions mentioned above. The warranty covers the engine controller and the costs incurred for its replacement and updating. Indirect costs are not covered by the warranty. It must be possible to repair or renew a defective control device within a reasonable time. When using an external service/repair point, Chip-tuning.fi must act as the orderer of the work.
Satisfaction Guarantee
Chip-tuning.fi grants a satisfaction guarantee for all performed programming: If the customer expresses dissatisfaction with the programming within 14 days of the programming and reprogramming does not lead to a satisfactory result, the program version that was originally installed in the vehicle before the optimization performed by Chip-tuning.fi will be returned to the vehicle. In such a return situation, the customer will be refunded in full the price he paid for the programming. The scope of the refund does not cover case-specific possible mileage allowances and per diems. In addition, breaking the seal we installed on the vehicle's diagnostic plug and/or control device within the 14-day notice period causes the satisfaction guarantee to expire immediately.
Terms of payment
- Private: cash upon receipt of work, bank transfer on site, bank card and credit card. When paying by card, we charge 1.5% of the total amount of the payment card supplement

- Companies: as well as private, invoicing customers, 7 days net + invoicing surcharge of €20
- Late payment interest: 10%
- Delivery time: appointment for programming in advance either by phone or email
- We charge 40% of the agreed purchase price for uncancelled appointments. Cancellation must be made no later than 3 days before the agreed time. Cancellation must always be done by phone.
- Free storage of finished works is 5 days, after which we charge for car storage. If the matter has not been agreed otherwise. We notify the customer 24 hours in advance of the start of the paid period. We charge €12.40/day for storing the vehicle.
